Pretty much the best BT headphones you can get so far in 2018
June 9, 2018
Wow! I am incredibly satisfied with the audio quality, Bluetooth performance, and compact size of these BT headphones.
Just to provide some context, these are the 4th pair of BT headphones I've tried recently; previously I tried: Soundpeats QY7, Anker Soundbuds Flow, Samsung Gear IconX (2018). They ALL had different issues. Soundpeats had mediocre audio quality. Anker had HORRIBLE audio quality and lots of hissing/popping. The IconX had HORRIBLE audio dropouts (connection issues) and zero bass to speak of.
Meanwhile, these Sennheiser headphones are superior in all respects. Although they're not "true wireless headphones", that's probably a good thing as that technology doesn't seem to be ready for prime-time (based on my experience with the 2018 IconX's) -- and since these aren't "true wireless" they have absolutely FLAWLESS Bluetooth connectivity with zero dropouts or interference. The audio quality, thanks to AptX LL codec, is absolutely excellent. Perfect reproduction of bass and highs - very decent reproduction of mids. Some of the reviewers said these headphones' sound profile is very "V-shaped" - I would disagree, and say that they are only *lightly* V-shaped; it's not as pronounced as those reviewers made it out to be. There is no noticeable sibilance on the high notes, meaning the highs sound great.
Comfort-wise, they're very light and easy to stash in your bag. Sennheiser should have included a carry case, but that's not a huge enough issue to reduce the score of this product. I just use the carry case from my Soundpeats.
Latency is nil (probably thanks to AptX LL codec) - I watch Netflix shows on the train with these headphones and the dialog is in PERFECT lip synch.
tl;dr These headphones are awesome! Get it now!
